Our training program at Carolina Trucking Academy will prepare you for a career in the transportation industry. Students have the option of attending four weeks of weekday training or 16 weekends.
Custom training schedules are available upon request.
Weekday Schedule (16 days)
Monday–Thursday for 4 weeks (7 a.m.–6 p.m.)
Weekend Schedule (16 days)
Saturday for 16 weeks (7 a.m.–6 p.m.)
Classroom Instruction: 50 Hours
Range Training: 50 Hours
Behind the Wheel: 17 Hours
Night Driving: 3 Hours
Road Observation: 40 Hours

The challenge for trucking companies to find enough qualified drivers is an ongoing issue. The effects of the driver shortage can be felt throughout our nation’s economy, with over 70% of all freight being moved on the nation’s highways. According to a recent industry study, over the next decade, the trucking industry will need to hire an additional 890,000 new drivers. We are able to accomplish this through a qualification process that matches each CDL student to the best company based on student qualifications and company requirements.
